Kristina Popova presents the paper - Who Should Act? Distancing and Vulnerability in Technology Practitioners' Acccounts of Ethical Responsibilty (to be published in thejournal series Proceedings of the ACM on Human Computer Interaction (PACM HCI))
Kristina is a PhD student at the Division of Media Technology and Interaction Design at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in KTH. Kristina's current work involves investigating ethics in technology production with a particular focus on the affective and felt dimension of ethics. This work is theoretically grounded in science and technology studies (STS), feminist epistemology and soma design as a methodology of exploring the felt experiences. It tries to shift the approach to ethics from formal rules and guidelines to the 'work of ethics' situated in the details of technology design and production.
