Abstract The increasing use of technology tends to modi-fy the soundscapes of our common infrastruc-tures. The stadiums are part of it, especially as each major sporting event brings its share of innovation, such as the Olympic games that en-courages to build new state-of-the-art infra-structures every four years. In this paper, we describe how we implemented the soundscapes of Stockholm Olympic stadium from two dif-ferent perspectives: the present and the future. We realized the soundscapes and integrated a motion capture system to navigate in different parts of the stadium: the entrance, the terrain and the bleachers. We conducted user tests to determine if users are able to identify the pre-sent and future soundscapes and what were their feelings about it. Most of the participants rec-ognized the corresponding period, and most of them had a preference for the future sound-scape. The found it more appealing, with more animation and a cheerful ambiance.
