Abstract In this project we have explored sonification of World Cup Biathlon results. We created our sonification using SuperCollider, a powerful tool for real-time audio programming. The sonification consists of two sounds played in parallel, one that is mapped to the number of World Cup points scored in each competition, and the other is mapped to the number of shots missed for each competition. We compared two biathletes, one that placed at the top of the overall World Cup and another biathlete that placed at the bottom. The evaluation was conducted on three participants in the form of semi-structured interviews, and the results showed that there is an audible difference between these two biathletes. Our results showed that the participants were able to tell which sonification was which.
