Abstract This is a small paper in which the main goal is to evaluate the ability to control monophonic pitch with Thalmic Labs Myo armband. The system used in this project uses IMU sensing, i.e. the acceleration from the Myo's accelerometer and the gyroscopes angular velocity mapped to ascending and descending pitch. From a small workshop at Politecnico di Milano school of engineering I conclude that using acceleration to control pitch has the potential to be a very natural way of controlling pitch but the hardware of the Myo is not sufficient enough to handle continuous pitch
